Top Upgrades for Corvette C4 through C7. Is your Corvette going to the next level of performance driving? See our top sellers for your first track day to the highest levels of pro racing. The Chevrolet Corvette was first born in Flint Michigan on June 30 1953 to be the New York Auto Show show car. Given the model name C1, the Corvette's history was started. Now in GM's seventh generation (C7), GM's Supercar has been a part of American History. GM even made a custom version that was gifted to Astronaut Alan Shepard. That started a program that supplied 2 brand new GM cars to every US astronaut. The usual protocol was a family car for the wives, but every Astronaut ALWAYS chose the Corvette. Great job GM on not just an incredible car but a part of American history.
Corvette C4 ran a full 12 years and was upgraded every year as it rolled out from Bowling Green, KY to every person lucky enough to own a piece of auto history. Rewind the clock to 1990 and you will find a headline in every auto magazine that featured the awesome C4 ZR-1. The 1990 Corvette ZR-1 set the highest 24 hour 5,000 mile land speed by averaging over 175mph. Yes you read that correctly, 24 Hours and average 175+ mph. GM used their proven motorsports department to make the C4 the base of what GM racing is today.
GM turned the page to a new book with the introduction of the C5 Corvette in 1997. Style meets power on a working man's budget. It did not take very long for fans from every marquis to show some respect for what Michigan built and racers perfected. Every weekend the C5 Corvette puts times in the book that just 5 years earlier were held by vehicles of SuperCar status. Great job GM on the C5 Covette Z06.
C6 Corvette track and performance upgrades. The Chevrolet C6 Corvette attacked the streets in 2005 for the very first time. It was the first exposed headlamp Corvette since 1962, but what we care about is the 427, Grand Sport, ZR1 and of course the C6 Z06. Speaking of the C6 Z06, we are proud to bring up things like, "Hand Built LS7", "Dry Sump Oiling System", and let's not forget 505 hp from the factory with a warranty.
DiscoveryParts has a dedicated section for the most popular performance and track upgraced for your C6 Corvette. If we are missing an item here, let us know and we will add it for you. Corvette C6 - a proven track machine that can be driven daily. Awesome job GM on Americas Supercar, the Corvette C6.
C7 Corvette performance and on-track upgrades. The Seventh Generation Corvette rolled out of Bowling Green Kentucky and carried the name "Stingray", the first time since 1976. The new LT1 6.2L Small Block punched out 455 hp and made the Stingray not only the perfect daily driver but a track attack machine. In 2015, the Z07 package took performance to unheard of levels for an American Made Car. A supercharged LT4, 6.2 L engine puts out 650hp and 650 lb-ft of torque. Couple that much power with an 8 speed, paddle shifted transmission and 335 rear tires and your "Factory" supercar is now getting point-bys by dedicated trailered track cars. Congratulations GM on an incredible machine that turns record lap after lap at tracks all over the world.
