Roux is a relatively new brand to us here at DiscoveryParts but in the short time we've been acquainted, we have grown to love them. With the company's style and safety state of mind, their helmets are quickly climbing to the top and competing with best selling brands like Stilo, Arai and Bell. In this review, we are going to delve into what makes Roux a great company and how their entry level helmet contrasts with the entry level helmet of a much more experienced brand, Bell.

DiscoveryParts US Market Exclusive:
BIG GLOVES. EVEN BIGGER GRIP.
An Introduction to the Alpinestars 2017 Tech 1-ZX Nomex Race Gloves 3X-Large
"If you're in need of some Alpinestars racing gloves but your hands remind you of those 2003 Hulk Smash Hands that barked 'You won't like me when I'm angry!' when you socked your little brother in the face, then you probably need to come see us at DiscoveryParts - the only place in the country that you can find Alpinestars 2017 Tech 1-ZX Nomex Race Gloves in XXXL."
Balaclava exist for three reasons: keeping your helmet in pristine condition, protecting against heat in a fire, and keeping sweat from streaming into your eyes. So truth is, no matter the comfort level of that new M8, the balaclava you choose will ultimately determine the life of your helmet and your degree of comfort and visibility. It does a lot of nasty work for you, catching your filth and protecting your head and shiny helmet. Balaclava deserves a little more than a "just give me whatever's cheapest" attitude.
In this DiscoveryParts face-off - no pun intended - we are comparing our three most popular balaclavas: Alpinestars ZX Evo, OMP Nomex One, and Traqgear One Layer One Eye Black.
Now that we've established the importance of a good balaclava, let's do some research to find the best one on the market for your racing and tracking needs!
DiscoveryParts Product Duel - RaceCom's Trac-Com vs. Chatterbox's Tandem Pro 2
Here at DiscoveryParts, we back all of our products. But what sets us apart from other businesses is that we aim to offer you options and variety among products and help you find the best fit for your racing lifestyle. In the June newsletter, we explored the differences between the Stilo Composite and the Roux R-1 Composite helmets. In this episode of DP Product Duels, we introduce RaceCom's Trac-Com and Chatterbox's Tandem Pro 2. So if you've ever wondered "What are the pros and cons of each brand?" or "Which one is best for me?" - grab your popcorn and sit back because the battle is about to begin.
DiscoveryParts saw the first pre-production versions of Roux helmets almost two years ago. Days, weeks, month and truly years have gone by before we received our first two pallets of final production SA2015 Roux helmets in fiberglass, composite and 2 versions of carbon. Why is there a Roux helmet? There is already another powerful brand that was the originator of the fully featured and customizable auto racing helmet, Stilo.
So why make Roux?
DiscoveryParts finally receives a SA2015 Bell M8 helmet. We first saw the spy pictures over a year ago and finally put our hands on the pre-production piece in December for the 2015 PRI show in Indianapolis. At first glimpse it was apparent this was not the previous Bell M4 with a different decal on it.
