SFI-approved EIS (Energy Impact Systems) W50 foam is widely used throughout the motorsports industry where energy management is needed in impact zones. BSCI has brought this same technology to their seat-insert kit, allowing for an easy to create custom-molded seat-inserts that further help to manage the forces exerted on a driver during a crash. The custom-molded cushion also helps provide total body support over high cornering loads by creating a custom seat for every driver! EIS W50 foam is self-extinguishing in a fire, and the kit includes a soft Carbon-X cover for an attractive finished product. 

EIS W50 starts as a liquid during the mold process. Compared to similar custom seat-molds, this creates a much more personalized replication of the driver's body. Already have a beaded seat insert? BSCI's kit can still be used to further enhance the seat fit!

BSCI EIS W50 SFI Seat Insert Kit Sizing:

  • Small: Perfect for a customer searching for additional lumbar or hip support in an FIA or Aluminum Racing Seat.
  • Medium: Ideal for when more support is needed then the Small size can provide. Also ideal for replacing the lower seat cushion (for example, to sit lower in the seat) and back cushions.
  • Large: Ideal for when complete padding is needed up to the driver's shoulders. This is the most common option when a driver change is needed, and a smaller driver needs to fit into a larger seat.
  • X-Large: Similar to Large, but with enough material to cover additional cushioning around a halo/head-restraint style seat.
  • XX-Large: Needed for larger jobs, such as creating padding in a seat that is built into the chassis (Formula, Prototypes, etc.)
